Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress, most well-known for her role as Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom", has gained some fame. Calvano originates from California and first became attracted to gymnastics. However, she later determined to pursue a career in acting. Her first screen appearance was in 2010 in one of the episodes from CBS program "NCIS". One year later her debut big screen appearance came in the biographical drama film J Edgar. Through the course of time she's established herself as one of the best young actresses working in the current industry. In recognition of her role in the show "NCIS," she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best performance in a television Series Guest-starring Young Actress 11-15 years old in the year 2011. The actress was also nominated 2013 for a Young Artist Award, this time because of her appearance as a guest on the comedic show of Disney XD "Kickin' It". Calvano played the lead role in Mom's first three seasons, and also made several guest appearances during the fourth. The role she played in "Mom" garnered her the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in 2015.
