Ullerup's first role was that as Julia Brynn on the remake TV series Battlestar Galactica in 2006, which aired on Sci Fi Channel. She performed the role of Ashley Magnus for the first season as well as the second one on Sanctuary prior to her character being written. The reason for her departure led to heated discussion among fans. There was a desire to have her back in future episodes. However, the show was terminated in 2012. Ullerup was cast in 2016 as Bree O'Brien for Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup was Maggie Thomas as the estranged ex-wife of Michael Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact.
