Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy to learn techniques and eliminates intimidation of restaurants dishes in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. Following her graduation with an English and Communication diploma from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the industry of restaurants by registering as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great learning experience. It was difficult to master and do enough or put in the hours. After graduating at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell took a full year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, which has had an impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board member, which aims to improve the lives of children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador, and is a vocal advocate for awareness of the dangers of childhood diabetes. In her capacity as a speaker, she is on the road to share her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef.
